The main objective of the Jack Petchey Foundation is to help youth projects in East London and West Sussex and now Portugal. The scheme recognises the effort and achievement of young people, and rewards them and their voluntary organisations accordingly.

East London Gojy Ryu Karate Club - sponsored two West Ham cadets to a week on TS Royalist this year as some cadets also train at the karate club

Terry Wyss was a cadet at West Ham unit when he was a boy. He is now based in Canada . Terry came over in 2005 and visited the unit he was pleased to see some things hadn't changed and saw cadets raise the colours. Read Read his story
